We are not accepting applications at this time. Applications for the Trans+ Support Fund will reopen on June 1st, 2026 when the next round of funding becomes available.

NWT residents of all ages can apply for up to $1,000 to help cover the cost of things like:

• travel for assessments and procedures related to gender-affirming care

• out-of-pocket gender-affirming healthcare (eg: ‘elective’ procedures, HRT)

• electrolysis or laser hair removal

• vocal lessons or speech therapy

• name or gender marker change fees

Applications are first come, first served, and will remain open until the Fund is spent or May 31, 2026 - whichever comes first. First time applicants will be prioritized over repeat applicants from previous years.

The only supporting documentation required to apply is proof of the expense, which can look like an email appointment confirmation, a receipt, or an invoice.
