Peer support Services

Northern Mosaic Network believes in safe, accessible community support. We are here to help you by listening to your challenges and concerns, providing information, and connecting you with existing programs and services. We may not always have all the answers, but we will always be here to support you.

We know that coming into our space can be a barrier for some, both in and out of a pandemic. If you need support, please reach out to our Mental Health + Family Support Coordinator at coordinator@northernmosaic.net. You can connect by phone, text, or video chat, or in-person in Yellowknife.

Here's a few examples of what your peer support request could look like:

Hello,

I’m looking for some help to figure out how to legally change my name. I would prefer to talk about this over the phone. Can we set up a time for you to call me at (867) 000-000?

Thank you!

Hi there,

My child just told me they are bisexual. I want to be supportive but I’m not sure how to respond! Do you have any resources or support groups to help with this? I’d really appreciate anything that you can send to me by email.

Thanks!

For other requests, check out our Contact page to reach out to Northern Mosaic Network staff.

Please remember that peer support services are not counselling services, and they are not available 24/7. Email is only monitored during office hours (normally 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday) and it may take up to five business days to respond to your request.

If you are in immediate distress, please call 911, visit your local health care centre, or reach out to a crisis support line.
